The North America Human Resource Management Association (NAHRMA) was founded in 1997 by the national human resource associations of Canada, Mexico and the United States. The Association is the North American representative body for human resource management, representing more than 350,000 human resource professionals.

For a period beginning July 1, 2018 and continuing through December 31, 2018 (inclusive), SHRM will offer a SHRM certification pathway (the "SHRM Pathway") to individuals holding a valid CPHR professional certification (CPHR) in good standing at the time of application; and CPHR Canada will offer a CPHR certification pathway (the "CPHR Pathway") to individuals holding a valid SHRM certification (SHRM CP®, SHRM-SCP®) at the time of application (collectively, the "Pathways").
